What you will be doing
The HRIS Configuration Analyst I is responsible for the set-up, support and integrity of all meta data within the HRIS systems. This position is required to have an advanced knowledge of HR applications, have a detailed understanding of the HR data flow, and a strong understanding of the relationship between HRIS and other platforms. The position will also be responsible for collaborating with business partners to understand business objectives and provide recommendations on potential design solutions. The HRIS Configuration Analyst I must be able to communicate clearly with customers as well as be able to problem-solve real-time.
You will be expected to apply creative problem-solving techniques to resolve issues. You will also be expected to participate in daily coordination with teams to provide guidance and direction as well as prioritize work effort for contractors. This position will participate in developing new functionality and capabilities within HRIS and should provide insight related to the data flow within the HR applications. This position is expected to have effective communication skills and a broad sense of critical thinking skills to resolve customer issues.
The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.
Main responsibilities
- Provide support for HR applications including, but not limited to, researching and resolving system errors; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business needs
- Assist in the requirements gathering, testing and change management of new meta data set up or development of new system functionality; collaborate with business and technical partners
- Primary steward for HR application meta data; responsible for data integrity
- Develop, maintain and support reporting for both HRIS leadership and business partners
- Provide recommendations for service improvements, policy changes and/or system enhancements to improve processes and customer experiences
- Develop and maintain user procedures, guidelines and documentation; may be required to perform training for clients on new or updated functionality
- Serve as a liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. Empower, IT, Payroll, Labor Relations, Human Resource, Compensation) to define, implement and support system interfaces
- Manage client issues from intake process to resolution; utilize HR system knowledge to address critical issues where business operations are adversely affected
- Set up and manage key data elements and tables within HR applications necessary for HR business operations
- Deliver expertise to design and implementation of new or amended HR application functionality
- Develop and manage service metrics and data validation routines

What we are searching for
- Some experience across the Human Resource functions including: Data Set-up, Self-Service, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor, Customer Relationship Management (ServiceNow), and Talent Management
- Highly self-motivated work ethic with flexibility to adapt rapidly to changing business needs
- Some experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment with understanding of test concepts, methodologies and practices
- Experience in large project management
- Experience working in support services with solid customer relationship capabilities
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
Education Level.
- Bachelor's degree in business or technology; or
- Equivalent work experience in related field
Experience Level:
- Three years of experience in chosen field; or
- Two years in a large-scale HR environment
