Job description

What you can expect as the HRIS Analyst:

Responsible for assisting with the optimization of all Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) within the organization, as well as for Human Resource (HR) technology research, documentation, implementation, testing, troubleshooting and technology enhancements in support of the needs of the Sammons Financial Group Companies (Sammons Financial Group) Human Resources department. Work with HR Technology team members to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. Assist with the design and delivery of reporting requirements of the organization, to bring forward talent insights and solutions, in support of business strategy. Provide front-line support for HR Technology questions and troubleshooting. Assist with projects, maintaining systems orientation and effectively working with peers to set technology priorities.

  • Maintain HRMS system configurations, including installation, customization, development, maintenance and upgrades to applications, systems and modules, as well as testing to ensure system upgrades, enhancements and releases perform as expected.
  • Provide "Tier 1" HRMS technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to end-users.
  • Assist with the design, selection and implementation or modification of HR technology solutions utilized by members of the Sammons Financial Group Human Resources team.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to accurately identify requirements for which HR technology may assist and ideate possible solutions. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure systems meet current and ongoing needs.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of standard and custom reports or queries to support department initiatives using Business Intelligence reporting tools and other reporting tools.
  • Gather and analyze data using statistical methods, employee surveys and applications to report on key metrics, trends and takeaways across all areas of human resources and talent management.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the HR Technology budget.
  • Support administration of the employee survey platform.
  • Assess release features and support projects to adopt new functionality or change existing processes.
  • Maintain a knowledge-base of the HRMS industry and keep up-to-date on integrated solutions that may be available. Report out findings to Sammons Financial Group HR Shared Services regularly.
  • Actively participate in strategic priority meetings regularly.
  • Utilize project planning methods and ideology to effectively meet project deadlines.
  • Act as liaison between internal subject matter experts (SMEs), external vendors and Sammons Financial Group Information Technology (IT).

 

 What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred
  • 1-3 years' HRMS experience (e.g. UKG Pro, Success Factors, WorkDay) and experience with report authoring tools preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' advanced report writing experience preferred
  • Exhibits specialized capabilities in HR Centers of Expertise (as applicable to team)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated influencing skills and ability to engage and exchange ideas, coach or counsel all levels of management
  • Progressive growth in leading and mentoring HR team members
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Effective presentation creation and delivery skills
  • Proven ability to develop long-range plans for the department
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization and with external customers
  • Ability to effectively train and educate team members, employees and leaders on HR technology functionality and usage
  • Strong capabilities to analyze, interpret and apply data
  • Active affiliations with appropriate HR networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
