Job description

Position Summary:

The HRIS Administrator I job responsibilities include data entry and maintenance of the HR databases, providing technical support and guidance to HR Information System (HRIS) users, and distributing reports and personnel documents and conducting HR audits.


Day in the life: In a typical day, a HRIS Administrator I can expect to...

  • HR Systems: Oversee system administration; manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • HR Reporting: Serve as a first point of contact for report requests.
  • Administrative Duties: Process new hires, job and salary changes, and terminations; perform audits on HR processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Provide 1:1 virtual training and technical support to HRIS users.

Job Pay & Perks:

  • Typical starting pay range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour

About You:

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in HR systems, including UKG Pro and Kronos preferred
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues with HR systems and platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to work independently and collaborate as a team member
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information with maximum discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Prior Experience & Education:

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, HR information system administration, or another related field preferred.
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree preferred
