Job description

Established, Venture Capital Firm is looking for an HR/Administration Manager to join their Miami office and support their employees. This is an amazing opportunity to join a successful team and be the point of contact for employees. You will oversee key people processes such as payroll, benefits, recruiting, on/offboarding, performance reviews, compensation, employee handbook, and policies. Someone with 5+ years of experience in HR/Administration or related roles, within Venture Capital or Private Equity, ideally with some administrative support experience. They are open to candidates in either San Francisco or Sunny Isles, Miami. 130-150K+ DOE + 100% coverage of benefits including dependents & spouses, bonus, 401k eligibility, generous PTO and holidays, plus lunch provided twice a week.
Responsibilities:

  • Fully cycle HR management from recruiting to exit interview.
  • Own recruiting operations; Performing first-round interviews, scheduling interviews, and other recruiting activities.
  • Manage onboarding process for new employees. Preparing offer letters, setting up equipment, enrolling them in benefits, providing access to needed accounts, and getting them set up for success internally.
  • Manage payroll and 401k plan for U.S. employees. Ensuring data is accurately entered and submitted. Reconcile accounts, deductions, 401k, taxes, year-end W-2's, and bonuses, as well as update payroll compensations as needed for promotions.
  • Manage and oversee U.S. employee benefits. Ensuring employee data is recorded accurately in platforms and changes are made when needed. Review and finalize renewals in partnership with HR Consultant.
  • Track and enforce employee PTO policies and approval process. Track payroll expense tax as needed. Issue company domestic and Israel holiday schedule.
  • Assist with HR/legal compliance regarding employment law and compliance topics, including proactively monitoring the employment landscape for new and changing regulations. Organize anti-harassment and IT security trainings and manage workers comp audit.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and ensure compliance with laws and monitor employee compliance.
  • Manage the annual review process.
  • Manage the offboarding process of employees. Prepare final paycheck and expenses, pay out any accrued PTO, collect equipment and remove access from accounts, and update benefits status. Review and implement systems and processes across all areas of people operations, adding structure around existing functions.
  • Support other administrative and operational functions including events.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of HR experience ideally in Venture Capital or Private Equity.
  • Excellent at context switching to shift as priorities change. Be the company point of contact to answer HR and benefit-related questions from employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • You are an excellent problem solver. You are resourceful and creative with your solutions.
  • Process-oriented and with ability and drive to assess and implement new processes for a growing organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathize with others.
  • You are able to work well independently and with little to no guidance.
  • Tech-savvy. Familiarity with GSuite, Slack, Zoom, and HRIS platforms.
