Job description

Purpose
The Training Specialist supports the development and facilitates training in order to ensure compliance and successful execution of the people strategy in order to sustain a healthy culture, safe work environment, and efficient operations in support of the values, standards and growth goals established by the company.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

  1. Training Content Support Development, Facilitation & Performance Tracking

  1. Supports the Director of Training in conducting or gathering data of a needs analysis and confers with relevant stake holders to determine training needs.

  1. Supports the development of training designed to achieve results with respect to Alignment, Engagement & Development

  1. Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by third party vendors.

  1. Maintains training calendar and provides communication required to ensure awareness of courses

  1. Maintains the Training Matrix and company-wide specifications to achieve compliance for on-boarding, developmental & on-going initiatives.

  1. Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.

  1. Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of trainees.

  1. System Administrator for Learning Management System (internal & external)

  1. Works with appropriate vendors to develop and implement learning management system designed to house relevant training, and comprehensive tracking.

  1. Complete understanding and full utilization and deployment of LMS system capabilities to include, but not limited to, dashboards, reporting, on-boarding, scheduling, paperless workflows etc.

  1. Ensures data security and proper protocol related to record retention (electronic & paper) related to all aspects of training related compliance.

  1. Maintains relationship with appropriate vendors/partners related to LMS System and monitors contract compliance (invoicing & services).

  1. Cultural Ambassador

  1. Company Sponsored Educational Programs, Initiatives (Tuition Reimbursement) & Benefits Approves, tracks, and processes all pay-out requests for the Tuition Reimbursement Program.

  1. Recognition Programs (Internal & Industry/Employer Awards)

  1. Effective research and deployment of comprehensive Employee Surveys

  1. Supports the Ravago employer branding by identifying and coordinating participation in National and Industry Employer Awards.

  1. All other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
An inspiring leader selects the best possible candidate for each position, provides structure, direction, feedback, recognition and accountability in addition to facilitating team processes, on-going training and delegation for the following Employees within the culture and policies.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications
  1. Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree or related training equivalent - required

  1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility - required

  1. Bilingual- Spanish preferred

  1. Systems Experience:

  1. Familiar with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) & capabilities - required

  1. Familiar with multiple Web Based Training Systems & capabilities - required

  1. Microsoft suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint - Required / One-Note - preferred

  1. Licenses / Certifications:

  1. Valid driver's license - required

  1. Valid passport - required

  1. Accredited HR or Training related certification - preferred

  1. Cultural Experience:

  1. Similar size organization - preferred

  1. Fast paced / entrepreneurial / high change / growing company - required

Work Environment:
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.
  1. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.

  1. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice

  1. Travel 60% of the time.
