SUMMARY
Facilitate new hire pre-boarding process and support Human Resources, including HR Business Partners (HRBP), by processing transactions in the human capital management system (HCM). Collaborate with Fast Team partners to support corporate, operations and front-line employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Facilitates new hire pre-employment requirements and onboarding task.
- Functions as primary POC for new employees throughout the onboarding process.
- Tracks and monitors pre-employment screenings (background investigations and drug screens).
- Confirms new hire progress through PCL process with program manager and Cherokee Federal security.
- Responsible for data entry and data integrity of core HR information into HCM.
- Reviews all data and documentation prior to creating new employee record in HCM.
- Corrects employee records when changes are required.
- Consults and analyzes data received from management to ensure effective dates, action reasons, and approvals are accurately recorded in employee record.
- Collaborates with Fast Team on exceptions, to ensure minimal impact to front-line employees and leadership.
- Follows up on approvals and onboarding tasks.
- Troubleshoots system integration issues with FAST Team partners.
- Ensures I-9 compliance and processes E-Verify through outside vender.
- Provides prime sources verification for candidate's education, professional certification/license, and references as required by the contract/customer.
- Facilitates training sessions in person and/or virtually.
- Responds to voluntary unemployment claims as required by state agencies
- Assists HRBP in responding to front line regarding issues with HR policies, processes, and practices.
- Assists with researching and analyzing data pertaining to HR in the areas of wage determinations and Davis Bacon Act.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree and at least 2 years of HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of practices and policies governing confidentiality disclosure of information.
- Knowledge of payroll administration, FLSA and state overtime laws.
- Knowledge of HR policies, operational processes, and considerations to support day-to-day operations.
- Knowledge of features, functions, and management of HRIS and Office 365.
- Working knowledge of data entry management and use of tools, techniques and processes related to Human Resources.
- Excellent communication skills including knowledge of concepts, tools, and techniques used to communicate.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities making effective judgements as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Ability to work cooperatively toward shared goals, while being supportive of others at all levels.
