Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)
Job Summary
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is a responsible for maintaining business plans, culture, and forging /maintaining strong professional relationships with leaders, peers and employees to deliver value-added service to the hospital and departments. The HRBP partners with department leaders to help them build their organizations and ensure that people decisions are based on data and sound judgement. HRBP acts as an employee champion; coaching leaders on employee relation topics. The HRBP collaborates with management and colleagues and is broadly recognized for their functional and business knowledge
Functions

  • Partner with hospital and department leaders and offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
  • Analyze departmental trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and, processes.
  • Deliver and champion HR initiatives to client groups, including the developing tailored communications and presentations for clients. Serves as the escalation point for questions or issues related to HR programs, benefits, processes, tools and resources.
  • Works closely with leaders to provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual leadership and employee coaching needs. Serves as a liaison between client groups and HR. Updates clients on HR programs, processes, policies and provides feedback to the HR operations team in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Solve problems by addressing root causes and propose solutions that may span multiple disciplines. Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborates with SHC-VC leaders and HR staff to provide expertise and day-to-day guidance in the following areas: coaching, performance management, career planning, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, strategic development, and data analysis; HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal as needed/required
  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Healthcare – ValleyCare’s patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions
Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible and directly related HR experience.
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred.
License/Certification
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility and HR
  • Demonstrated ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand data to drive process changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and analyze issues and data
  • Demonstrated ability to research and identify the appropriate prescribed response to customer inquiries
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and manage conflict of employee issues in a customer-focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of hiring practices/policies related to recruitment
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relations skills
  • Demonstrate collaborative skills and initiative
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using HR ERP system (Lawson and API preferred)

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $47.00 - $64.00 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
