About the Role
The HR Business Partner will be a strategic advisor to the Clinical operation. They are responsible for understanding the business strategy, business demand, and ensuring effective delivery of HR solutions while working in close collaboration with the clinical team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leaders and employees with coaching, consultation, and guidance on the effective management of people, structure, resourcing, and relationships.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action, employee retention, and continuous improvement.
- Identify competency and skill gaps and develop value-added programs in the areas of training, career mobility and job performance.
- Investigate escalated employee concerns and resolve employee relations issues; provide recommendations and guidance to the business unit.
- Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (eg, compensation, job levels, attrition, retention and turnover) to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions to clinical leadership.
- Attend department meetings and consult with leaders providing HR guidance as appropriate and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters including coaching, counseling, mediation, performance improvement plans, and corrective action.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting clinical, medical, healthcare, health tech organizations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Partner role
- Self-starter and solution oriented with excellent problem solving abilities
- Strong Knowledge of human resource principles, practices and and employment law
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong initiative to identify/anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000.
Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off, as well as paid parental leave benefits.
