Job Details
Responsibilities include -
- Collaborating with managers to understand the hiring needs of their area. Recruit, screen, schedule interviews, creates offer letters, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Administer reference checks, pre-employment tests, and background checks.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal and safety departments as needed/required.
- Provide guidance and input on organizational restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Partner with the Training & Development team to identify training needs and emerging leaders.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Responsible for facilitating regular EEO training as well as supporting corporate compliance programs.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Collaborate with marketing on new projects and initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field, and/or a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient understanding of multiple human resource disciplines, including full-cycle recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Civil Construction industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Ability to quickly process information and make decisions.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks: organizational, problem-prevention, and problem-solving.
- Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, and at times, stressful environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
- Must have reliable transportation with the ability to travel and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload
