General Purpose:

We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employee’s records and supporting the new hire onboarding process. Your role, also, involves performing tasks related to payroll and employee benefits.

Essential Duties:

  • Start and assist applicants with the on-line application process in ADP.
  • Administer all recruitment correspondence, projects, meeting preparation, as needed and/or requested.
  • Assists with use of the ADP Workforce system and the recruitment applicant tracking system (password creation, how to complete an electronic requisition, viewing candidate information) and being responsible for candidate and new hire written correspondence.
  • Assist with coordinating Health Care benefits and yearly health fair.
  • Update forms as needed. Must be proficient with Adobe, Microsoft word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Assist with all New Hire Onboarding processes – paperwork, uniform distribution, background checks, and maintaining driver’s list.
  • Assist with compiling data for monthly requisition and hire count reports.
  • Assist with maintaining candidate and job information in the applicant tracking system database; assists with the implementation of new technical releases and functionality as it relates to SDI’s needs.
  • Assist with filing and scanning confidential information as needed.
  • Co-Administrator of company’s ADP homepage
  • Assists with the Onboarding process of new employees.
  • Prepare and gather recruiting materials for attendance at local job fairs and accompany the Recruitment and Compliance Manager at these events as needed.
  • Update the Job Bulletin and distribute internally company-wide, and externally to interested parties.
  • Assist the Recruitment Coordinator, International, with weekly nametag order.
  • Greet anyone that comes into the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of two years of related experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. ADP Workforce Now is highly desirable!

Basic Required Skills

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision. Must possess supervisory and management skills to communicate and express ideas and directives clearly to employees.
  • Must possess basic computational ability. Must possess basic computer skills. Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the rooms discipline and hospitality profession, including experiential knowledge for management of people and complex problems.
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches. Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance.


Physical Demands

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Be able to lift items weighing 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and staff.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
