Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Corporate Ductless Product Manager supporting CE Domestic and Canadian regions. This role is a remote position and reports to the Corporate Residential Product Manager.  

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

 

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and maintain sales strategies for Ductless including Single Phase VRF offerings in all sales channels within the CE US and Canadian territories.
  • Liaison with the Regional Leadership and Product Managers on company initiatives, sales strategies, industry trends, local requirements, and support.
  • Interface with HQ Inventory, Planning, Operations and Finance teams providing guidance and support on industry trends/needs impacting the Ductless and Single Phase VRF segments.
  • Facilitate the relationship between CE Regions and the Ductless divisions of Carrier Corporation to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.

Delivery & Execution:

  • Support CE Leadership and Sales teams in all customer channels and customer sales calls.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly evaluation of the competitive landscape, product, and pricing data.
  • Develop, execute, and communicate with factory and sales teams to ensure the factory and sales teams on advantages and disadvantages, product gaps and voice of customer.
  • Recommend sell price positioning to maximize market share and company profit margins.
  • Coordinate and provide sales forecasting support data to HQ Inventory Planning manager to ensure proper ductless equipment inventory.
  • Provide SKU and sales data to CE HQ Parts and Supplies Product Manager so they can ensure proper replacement parts inventory.
  • Develop, implement, and manage internal, external and factory marketing programs in conjunction with CE HQ Director PM Marketing & Communications.
  • Provide oversight for overall CE Ductless Market Funds in conjunction with the CE HQ Director PM Marketing and Finance departments.
  • Ensure implementation and accuracy of Associated Items, (Trend), Frequently Bought Together (FBT’s on  e-Comm).
  • Manage model supersedes, new SKU set up and SKU designation utilizing Stage Gate Process.
  • Manage repository of product, sales, and pricing information to be accessible by all sales team channels.
  • Provide oversight and assist regional sell-through and disposition of ductless Excess, Surplus and Damaged (ESD) as well as Non-Performing Inventory (NPI).

People/Training/Communication:

  • Support Regional Product Managers and sales team with written updates and direction on product and promotional materials.
  • Support Plan & Spec and Project regional teams in reviewing plan and spec materials and positioning Carrier/Bryant ductless products.
  • Provide reporting/oversight for CE Regional Monthly and Quarterly business reviews and reporting for share-holder review (i.e., Leadership, WSO, Carrier Corp).
  • Facilitate, provide oversight for internal and external sales and Ductless/VRF product training.
  • Provide oversight and Facilitate Technical Service insight and project resolution. 
  • Support Technical Service team as needed in managing/communicating service bulletins.
  • Evaluate, understand, communicate, and manage Federal, State, Local Utility rebates impacting all Ductless product segments.
  • Evaluate, understand, communicate, and manage Federal, State, Local and National mandates and changes impacting all ductless product segments.
  • Other initiatives, tasks and duties as directed by Carrier Enterprise Leadership team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in the HVAC industry, ideally in products, services, technology, product management or in a specialized sales capacity.
  • Diverse experience in product marketing, product assortment planning, and new product introduction with the ability to leverage new product innovations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of product strategy and its relationship to the Wholesale HVAC industry.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion.
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills
  • A rich blend of analytical, creative, strategic, and tactical talents

Education

  • BA/BS degree (preferred) with 3-5+ years Product Management, Product Sales experience required 3-5+ years' experience in HVAC or related Product Management position.
