Important info about this role:

• We're better together! This role is fully on-site (all 5 days in the office) for the first 90 days and Monday through Thursday after that (Fridays can be optional).
• This is a full-time, direct-hire role, meaning no C2C/C2H.

What does a HP-UNIX Systems Administrator do?
You will be a part of an energetic team responsible for System Installation, Client Support, Consultation and Management of HP-UX (11iv3) and Red Hat Linux Systems running mission critical financial software applications. You will exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor that generates confidence in customers. You will demonstrate project leadership skills, and work independently and assist other associates to drive quality and staff development. You will be making decisions based on precedent and solve arising problems using sound judgment and experience.
What you will do:

• Product Installation - installation and configuration of operating systems, third party solutions and financial software written by Fiserv.
• Client Training - To ensure the intended use of the product or service and realization of benefits expected.
• Process Improvement - Provide input to improve implementation checklist, process and procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, storage and operating system related issues.
• Perform error diagnosis, error remediation, root cause analysis and document findings Perform general system administration including: User management, file system management, performance tuning, system event monitoring, system hardening and security.
• Operating System Patch Management and Support including creating of customized patch bundles and associated documentation for client release Respond to client cases regarding HP-UX Administration
• Respond to client cases regarding HPUX and RedHat Administration as part of an On-Call rotation providing 7x24x365 support for internal and external clients.
• Provide support for integrated third party solutions to internal and external clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Three plus years of experience with support and administration of HP-UX (11iv3) systems and RedHat Enterprise Linux running mission critical applications.
• Three plus years of experience in Information Technology, product installation/configuration and/or training in the financial service industry or closely related industry.
• Experience with HPE Integrity Virtual Machines and Serviceguard
• Experience with system hardening and standard security guidelines such CIS & PCI.
• Strong presentation, client management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and transition efficiently from project to project and multi-task effectively.
• Ability to stay current on Company products, policies, procedures and system enhancements.
• Strong organization and time management skills in managing tasks and projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

What would be great to have:

• Experience within financial services, credit unions, banking.
• Experience with SAN storage including HPE 3Par, EVA, and MSA series arrays, HPE Data Protector and Veritas NetBackup.
