Hourly Rate: $19.25
Position Summary:
Full-Time Housing Program Manager position available in Seattle, WA. The Housing Program Manager will work under the direction of the Vice President of Housing and Development and assists in the management of Sea Mar’s affordable Housing Programs. The Housing Program Manager is responsible to making sure funding requirements, regulatory compliance requirements, and other housing requirements are met.
Job Duties:
- Creating and recording data, evaluating internal performance, maintaining regulatory compliance and communicating results.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all contract deliverables, rules and regulations across all funding sources.
- Ensure program data is collected, analyzed and reported appropriately.
- Prepare funding applications for new and existing programs to ensure programs and services are financially sustainable, including utilizing diverse funding streams.
- Track Tenant annual recertification deadlines and collaborate with property managers to ensure recertifications are submitted to MINC and WBARS by stated deadlines.
- Use RealPage and Boston Post to monitor current tenant files and rent payments are posted.
- Alert leadership when there are patterns or non-payment or non-compliance.
- Respond to documentation requests from various funding agencies and submit documents by stated deadlines.
- Provide reports, information and documentation as requested.
- Ensures files are organized and maintained to ensure that they are easily available and referenceable during audits.
- Maintain strong working relationships and provide excellent customer service to tenants, funding agencies, community partners and colleagues.
- Propose suggestions and solutions to improve program efficiencies and processes.
- Serve as a back-up property manager.
- Evening and weekend work hours may be required.
- Travel may be required.
- Maintain knowledge of USDA, HUD, Washington State Housing Commission, City of Seattle Office of Housing, Department of Commerce and other housing agencies requirements.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and organizational events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree or five years affordable housing management experience required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile, interpret, and utilize information; and to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds and educational levels.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgment, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be well organized and have good attention to detail.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all interactions.
- Must be fully fluent in spoken and written English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must be computer literate and have good mathematical skills.
- Experience in Windows Office programs preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel highly preferred. Must be able to solve problems and reason deductively.
