Houseperson/Laundry Attendant

The Hotel Principal Hotel is looking for a Houseperson/Laundry attendant to join our team. This role will specifically focus on the overall cleanliness of the hotel both inside and outside. Due to the smaller size of the hotel to ensure this can be a full-time position we will have you assist a few days a week operating and maintain the laundry room as well.

The ideal person for this position has experience, enjoys working individually or on occasion as a team, is well-spoken, energetic, and personable.

Responsibilities:

• We're looking for a houseperson with excellent people skills who is motivated and attentive to provide our guests with a memorable experience at our hotel. We need a multi-talented individual who can perform a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include keeping hotel public areas clean such as hallways, meeting rooms, and lobbies. You will also make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and completing any special projects as directed by housekeeping managers. Our ideal candidate has one or more years of previous experience in a houseperson or housekeeping role, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service. • Responsibilities:
• Assure a clean environment in the guest rooms, corridors, lobby, and other work areas.
• Begin each shift by visiting assigned floors and collect trash, dirty linen, and other materials as instructed by management.
• Deliver requested amenities such as rollaway beds, cribs, blankets, etc. to guest rooms.
• Provide the highest level of service by anticipating, listening attentively, and responding promptly to guests’ needs.
• Retrieve clean linens from housekeeping storage facilities and distribute them to each floor.
• Pulling and or pushing wet linen in and out of machines and transporting them through the washing process.

Assist with Laundry responsibilities, separating, folding and keeping linen fresh and clean.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull
