Housekeeping/Laundry

.Parkway Health and Rehab is an 87 bed skilled nursing facility located in Canton, MS just off the Nissan Parkway behind Merit Health-Madison. We are looking for friendly and compassionate housekeepers to work with the elderly to ensure they have a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment, as well as, openings in our laundry. The positions available are:

Floor Tech: 8a-4:30p, Monday-Friday

Housekeeper: 8a-4p working a 4 on 2 off schedule

Laundry: 7a-3p working a 4 on 2 off schedule

Job Summary:

FLOOR TECH:

Pulling trash, maintaining hallways and common areas by mopping and operating a floor scrubber. May also be required to duties of a housekeeper if needed.

HOUSEKEEPERS:

Cleans and services rooms, baths and other resident areas. Cleans window sills, empties trash baskets. Cleans assigned areas and equipment, refilling soap, paper towel and tissue dispensers.

Dusting furniture, mopping floors, cleaning bathroom fixtures and toilets in assigned areas.

LAUNDRY:

Collect and sort soiled linen and personal clothes. Wash, dry, fold, hang and return clean clothes and linen to resident rooms and linen storage.

Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities:

Keep the nursing facility in a clean and sanitary condition.

Must have a genuine interest in working with geriatrics.

Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to perform tasks with consideration for residents in the area.

Works under close supervision performing simple, standardized tasks.

Other duties as requested.
