Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, organization, development and direction of the Housekeeping department
• Establishes detailed cleaning and preventative maintenance programs to ensure appearance and life of furniture, fixtures and equipment
• Directly mananges the housekeeing team; conducts interviews, trains and writes the department schedule; conducts performance evaluations and provides any needed discipline
• Assigns staff daily duties and monitors staff to assure high cleaning standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met
• Executes inspections of room, public spaces and housekeeping areas for sanitation, order and safety
• Monitors and controls labor expenses and other department expenses; establishes and maintains accurate inventory records

Housekeeping Supervisor Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of management experience and 3-4 years of housekeeping in a hotel environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; customer service oriented; proactive team player
• Must have high school education or equivalent experience
• Handle confidential situations in a professional manner
• Highly organized and has the ability to plan multiple activities and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous standing 100% of the shift
• Inside 100% of the shift
• Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 100 lbs. or more. Carts may be pulled up to 75 feet.
• Bending/kneeling required 70% of shift
• Mobile position required 100% of the time
