Housekeeping Supervisor-Full-time

The Cedars is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to work along side the Enviromental Services Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner and oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping services in The Hoffman Center and Sam L Cohen Households in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures.

The Cedars is a non-profit, senior living community of four buildings on a 12-acre campus with: 61 independent living apartments, 30 assisted living apartments, 102 skilled nursing beds and 20 memory care assisted living beds.

Requirements:

• Works with Environmental Services Manager to establish, direct and maintain laundry and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Prepare for and participation in surveys and facility inspections conducted by authorized personnel.
• Fosters a well-trained, motivated staff with excellent customer service skills.
• Establish all shift production schedules.
• Conduct personnel matters to include: hiring, orientation, competencies, in-services, performance reviews, payroll and coaching/supervision and disciplinary action in coordination with HR policies and procedures.
• Attend meetings as needed.
• Conduct department meetings and training as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have at least 2 to 4 years in Housekeeping/similar field.
• Management and supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
