We are looking for a part time housekeeper at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab! This is a great job with great people, so make sure you are coming in ready to be with a team that loves the residents and their jobs!

Schedule: 7am-3pm, including every other weekend!

SUMMARY:

The housekeeper ensures the facility stays clean and sanitary for all of the residents and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
  2. Accomplishes all daily tasks including laundry, sweeping, moping, trash, etc.
  3. Communicates effectively any issues that may come up throughout the day.
  4. Meets goals of production.
  5. Reports to the manager any cleaning products or supplies that are running low.
  6. Other duties as assigned or required.

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Experience and Education:

  1. High school diploma or GED diploma.
  2. Previous cleaning experience in a nursing home or hospital setting preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
