Housekeeper/Custodian

This is a 12 hour/week part-time position providing housekeeping and custodial services including but not limited to dusting, sweeping and vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, and maintaining the appearance of all Avant properties.

Duties:

• Maintain hard floors by dust mopping, sweeping, or vacuuming floors.
• Maintain hard floors by mopping or auto scrubbing floors.
• Maintain hard floors by buffing, scrubbing, or waxing floors.
• Maintain restrooms by restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Maintain restrooms by cleaning and sanitizing them with an approved method.
• Maintain buildings by emptying trash receptacles and cleaning the receptacles.
• Maintain custodial equipment by checking it and reporting any problems to supervisor.
• Maintain supplies by using them conservatively and advising supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Secure building by locking doors and windows after cleaning areas.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with coworkers and building personnel.
• Understand and comply with applicable agency policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with all custodial policies and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy, federal/state law, and applicable custodial contracts.
• Attend and participate in meetings and training as assigned.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to complete assigned tasks with consistent quality.
• Perform all other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Two years minimum experience in housekeeping/custodial work.
• References from previous supervisors.
• Available to work Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 4 hours per evening.
• High School diploma or equivalency is required and must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to physically work without restrictions including standing, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, etc.
• Pass FCSR background screening.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
