As a Housekeeper, you will fill a guest services role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals of the daily operation of the housekeeping department. You will provide housekeeping services to all guest areas, sleeping rooms and public areas according to the established policies and procedures. You will ensure exceptional quality in housekeeping standards and Hotel appearance, enhancing the guest experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Change all bedding following each guest departure including duvet covers, shams and blankets. Beds must be neatly made with no stains, holes, loose threads or hair in the bedding materials. Bed skirts and runners should be clean with no stains, holes or loose threads and should be fitted to the box spring.
- Keep storage closets neat and secure throughout the day and at the end of your shift. Bring all chemical bottles and dirty rags to the Laundry room after confirming with your Inspector that your tasks are completed and that you have signed your Inspection Report and handed in your key.
- Clean bathrooms, vanity areas and closets including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, hair dryers, vents, light switch and outlet covers, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, brushes and/or cleaning agents.
- Retrieve and push a loaded housekeeping cart to the assigned rooms, restock throughout and at the end of the shift.
- Report suspicious individuals to Hotel Security or department management.
- Return all belongings left in a room or public area to the Hotel Lost and Found.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
