Feed Mill Operator - 3Rd Shift

3rd Shift Available! Hours are M-F from 9pm to 5am.

Position Overview & Responsibilities:

Day to day responsibility for production of feed and load out operations as specified by daily/weekly feed order levels. Proper use and maintenance of Feed Mill equipment. Responsible to meet the goals established in the areas of productivity, employee satisfaction and cost management for Mill Operator staff on your shift. Maintain positive working relationships with other departments and high level of customer service.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Operate machines to produce mash to established quality guidelines.
• Perform micron tests, moisture tests etc. Make necessary adjustments to grinding process equipment to obtain acceptable quality.
• Operate load out equipment to properly load trucks in most efficient manner.
• Perform and monitor proper documentation of the batching, grinding, and loadout process.
• Follow sequencing of feed as defined by quality guidelines posted in the batching room.
• Maintain proper greasing of equipment and document when maintenance is performed.
• Responsible for proper feed and load out scheduling.
• Responsible for proper bin management and utilization.
• Trouble shoot and make minor repairs and make decision to summon additional help for repairs.
• Ensure proper follow through and training of members on staff.
• Ensure proper safety, equipment and housekeeping procedures are followed by staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals will have a desire to learn, strong work ethic, and be dependable. Must have the ability to operate machinery and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
