Lake Merced Golf Club would like to add a positive and motivated member to our Clubhouse cleaning and Event set up team. We are a small private golf Club located in Daly City, just south of San Francisco, founded in 1922. We have a wonderful community of members and staff and hope to find an employee looking for long term position in our Clubhouse, which will provide full benefits as a member of the Local 2 Union.
This position requires employees to clean and maintain all club facilities and assist in the setup of banquets and special events. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Transport small equipment and furniture between departments
- Set up tables, chairs, buffets, and coolers for events
- Cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, brass fixtures, wall decorations, and trim
- Cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways and other Club areas as needed
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors
- Wash inside and outside of windows
- Clean and sanitize all on-site restrooms and on course restrooms
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and drapery
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Polish metalwork
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Empty trash cans and empty and clean ashtrays
- Keep immediate area outside of Clubhouse clean
- Transport trash and waste to disposal area
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- All additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by Lake Merced Managers
The duties listed above covers most requirements of this position, however employees may need to perform any other job related duties as assigned by management depending on the Clubhouse needs of the day.
Qualifications for the position require for individuals to be able to perform each essential duty to the satisfaction level of the the Facilities Manager. Individuals with experience in custodial work are preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions is required.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, and cleaning supplies. Employees are must be able to reach with hands and arms. Employees will be occasionally required to climb or balance. Employees must be able to regularly lift and/or move 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have attention to detail when spot cleaning areas of the clubhouse and visually identify areas that need attention.
Employees will occasionally work in high places and outdoors and take proper precautions when using cleaning chemicals and products.
