The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests. The primary responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, and ensuring that hotel facilities are kept in pristine condition. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to established hotel standards, including changing linens, making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
- Ensure that bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in a hygienic manner.
- Clean and maintain common areas such as corridors, lobbies, and stairways,.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces in guest rooms and public spaces.
- Check and restock room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department or supervisor.
- Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff members to provide excellent customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the hotel management.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues. Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks and lift/carry heavy objects.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel schedule. Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $20.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
