Summary

• Per established policy and procedures, housekeepers are responsible to clean support and patient units.

Responsibilities

o Maintains assigned work area according to established Policies and Procedures and work assignments. o Completes terminal room cleaning in patient units and Surgical areas. o Clean isolation rooms including spraying room with Hocl. Support and patient units may have various illnesses to include COVID 19. Replaces cubicle curtains as needed. o Maintains a neat, orderly, and stocked closet and cart. o Report assigned area quality to manager and supervisor as appropriate. o Gathers and disposes of trash, infectious waste (red bags) and chemotherapy waste according to policy and utilizing proper body mechanics. o Reports areas situations needing special attention to supervisor, manager, or engineering as appropriate. o Advises management of supply issues. o Provides manager or supervisor with requested documentation in a timely manner. o Complies with standards of safety. o Maintains confidentiality. o Actively supports organizations mission and vision values and strategic directions. o Attendance, breaks and appearance is consistent with hospital standards. o Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

o High school diploma or equivalent preferred. o Previous cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
