Household Manager/Nanny in Westport

Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00am-7:00pm. The position requires occasional weekend/overnight help and some travel, with advance notice.

Pay: Negotiable and competitive for household management. Guaranteed hours. Benefits include paid vacation, personal/sick days, federal holidays paid and off. Health stipend can be negotiated.

Start Date: Can start the immediately or when available to start. The family are open to hiring a nanny who wants to relocate for their next position.

Children: Two healthy school-aged kiddos. They get along unbelievably well as siblings! They’re creative and love art, science, theatre, acting and imaginative play. They’re very empathetic, loving and affectionate. They would love a nanny who is warm and enjoys hugs. Someone who enjoys being present and having conversations. A nanny who cares to take the time to listen about their day/feelings and be a good role model for patience and honesty. Their perfect nanny has a modern edge and can bring technology into the home (e.g. app suggestions for organization, social media for crafts ideas, creating/editing cooking videos together, etc.)

The parents are looking for a candidate who wants to stay with a family for the long term and be an integral part of the family/team. They have busy careers and need someone with an eye for organization and scheduling. The right candidate can see where things can improve and make suggestions and works well with a team. This position will include daily afterschool childcare, some meal prep assistance (and/or working with the chef), household organization and scheduling, managing the housecleaners, errands, and being one step ahead of the household needs. The perfect nanny is sharp with household management/admin/scheduling but warm, kind and playful with the kiddos.

The right person will thrive in this position if they communicate transparently and can be themselves. The parents value authenticity and never expect perfection. You will need an eye for creating structure where it’s lacking in the home and perhaps a sense of humor. This family is just looking for the right person who can also see where they need assistance and jump in. They don’t have strict household rules and will appreciate everything you do for/with them!

Pets: Two dogs are in the home and the HM will assist in daily walks, keeping the groomer/vet schedules, and taking advice from the dog trainer. They are very sweet/easy pups and members of the family. The nanny for this position should love dogs and expect to spend time around them in the home.

Requirements:

• Swimming (there is a pool on the property).
• Valid driver’s license with clean criminal records.
• Household management experience.
• Minimum 3 years professional childcare experience.
• Occasional travel/weekends/overnights (with advance notice)
• Strong English speaker.
• Professional resume with positions detailed on a timeline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
