PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the House Attendant is responsible for assisting Room Attendants, maintaining guest rooms, and promptly carrying out guest requests. The House Attendant supports customer service operations both directly and indirectly. The House Attendant will also be responsible for managing and collecting linen throughout the property. They clean assigned areas in accordance with the hotel’s standards and demonstrate a professional, friendly, warm and welcoming demeanor to all guest and employees.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or its equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-year Housekeeping Houseman experience, preferably at a luxury hotel.

• Must show understanding of, and proficiency in, equipment and fixtures used in the operation of guest rooms
• Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to receive instructions and make reports with accuracy.
• Must be knowledgeable about applicable laws regarding the operation of hotels and restaurants.
• Must be detail oriented, have good customer service skills, be able to lift heavy items and perform standard cleaning procedures
• Must be able to identify different cleaning chemicals according to OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to operate different machinery used to clean multiple surfaces.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
• Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when needed.
