At the Delta Hotel by Marriott Phoenix-Mesa, we strive to provide Purposeful Service: a perceptive and intuitive staff that knows what guests need and when. The security officer is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Creating a safe environment for all guests and staff
· Performing property security sweeps throughout the shift
· Reporting and keeping logs of all suspicious activity near property
· Responding to service calls as needed
· Ensuring all exterior doors are locked and secured
· Completing any additional assignments left by management for the shift
· Listening and responding to guest inquiries/concerns using a positive, clear speaking voice
· Managing and resolving guest complaints and compliments in a professional and courteous manner
· Interacting with hotel associates in a professional manner; assisting other departments with necessary information
· Other duties as assigned
· Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
· Strive to build and maintain good and productive relationships with all team members
· Be honest, reliable, and timely
· Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
