Job Description
- Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies
- Strip all beds in checked-out rooms and drop all dirty linens to the laundry before any cleaning is done
- Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms to hotel standards
- Inspect room for safety hazards & for the operating conditions of equipment • Check for damaged linens
- Report lost and found articles and maintenance problems to a supervisor
- Prepare rooms for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests
- Record room status on work assignment sheets
- Other duties as assigned
- Receive and sort dirty linens.
- Pre-soak stained linen.
- Set aside unusable linen in the appropriate discard area.
- Load washers according to the instructions. Know load limits.
- Prepare proper concentration of cleaning chemical.
- Dry, fold and store linen in the appropriate location.
- Clean lint filters in dryers MINIMUM 3 times daily.
- Clean behind and above dryers on a weekly basis.
- Keep laundry room clean. Mop floor as necessary.
- Follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
- Never allow linen to sit on the floor.
- Help re-stock storage closets and housekeeping carts
- Perform other duties as required.
- Previous housekeeping experience required
- Attention to detail
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays
