Job description
- Understands and upholds Chico’s Employment Guidelines, policies, standards and procedures.
- Understands and follows all management policies and promotes Chico culture by using Servant Leadership as primary management structure/philosophy.
- Is responsible for the management, supervision and service for all Hotel, Spa and Retail operations.
- Is responsible for managing performance of Managers in an ongoing, consistent manner. Addresses conflicts and discipline privately. Uses proper documentation.
- Assist Managing Director in developing and implementing property-wide strategies and business plan
- Participates as a key member of the Executive Committee
- Provide strategic input on future developments to ensure the property achieves all return-on-investment targets
- Develop a management process that balances the highest service standards with efficiency and cost-consciousness
- Create budgets and cost control practices throughout all Hotel Operations
- Collaborates with Revenue Manager to integrate and implement strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the property in the absence of the General Manager
- Manages revenue and costs to meet targeted goals.
- Plays an active role in the planning and implementation hotel offerings, collaborating with General Manager and Department heads.
- Coordinates product purchasing for all hotel operations. Manages cross-purchasing, and volume purchasing.
- Is responsible for managing “Opera” programming, equipment, manuals, and reports.
- Manages SynXis, Revinate and Voucher Cart platforms, including integration, updates, and training.
- Participates in hiring, interviews, performance management and discipline for department heads and others as needed.
- Assigns and oversees detailed training plan (department orientation) for all new Department heads.
- Ensures Dress Codes, appearance, uniform guidelines are being followed.
- Is responsible for monitoring job satisfaction and individual development of directly supervised managers.
- Is responsible for daily regular contact with Hotel Department Managers assuring they have the tools and support to be successful in their positions.
- Manages relationship between Chico and Vacation Rental inventory owners
- Interfaces with ownership company on resort improvements / projects
