Hotel Maintenance

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper working order of all physical hotel assets while coordinating the activities with the daily operation of the hotel. This is a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties:

• Review, analyze and report on preventative maintenance results of all key property areas including grounds, guest rooms, common areas, pools, equipment, and systems.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for all public spaces, laundry equipment, heating and air conditioner units, ice machines, spa and pool equipment, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, kitchen appliances, plumbing, and guest rooms.
• Ensure proper inventory is kept of necessary equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Trouble shooting and repair using proper carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, or other engineering or mechanical techniques.
• Coordinate work assignments and maintain records on completed and pending work orders.
• Follow all local and state Health Department Regulations.
• Assist with snow removal and contracted grounds crews.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
• Communicate with front desk on room status updates.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Fire Alarm/Life Safety Systems and handle emergencies involving the systems
• Assist other departments as needed
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or hazards and address them promptly
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
• Supervise and coordinate contractors when necessary
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English is preferred.
• Must be able to provide, receive, and comprehend verbal and written instructions and information.
• Desired are individuals who are friendly, reliable, enthusiastic, obliging, and compassionate.
• Qualified individuals will additionally demonstrate skills in organization, planning, problem solving, and communication.
• Must present an appropriate public presence in grooming, dress, poise, and social etiquette.
• Must be able to work independently or with others.
• Proper social demeanor, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and passion for serving others is essential.
• Requires frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, lifting and pushing.
• Must be able to move or handle items generally weighing 0-40 lbs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Proficient in electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise others effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Pay: $19.30 - $23.24 per hour
