Job Overview:
As the Head Housekeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction of our hotel. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff, setting high standards and providing guidance to ensure that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment throughout their stay. Attention to detail, efficiency, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry services, and public area maintenance.
- Train, motivate, and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and linens to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
- Must be fluent in Spanish
