Our strongest asset as a hotel is our location, the ‘private’ beach that is our backyard. Our Associates will ensure every guest feels a personal connection to our little corner of the world.

Job Overview: Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assist room attendants in order to maintain the hotel’s high standards of quality.

Essential Job Functions:

• Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
• Clean rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Wash walls and ceiling, move furniture’s and turn mattress.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, waxes and polish floor.
• Dust and polish metalwork.
• Collects soiled linen for laundering.
• Received linen supplies from floor shoots.
• Assist in maintaining all housekeeping carts stocked.
• Removes trash collected by room attendants.
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect newspapers, trash, and soiled linen.
• Pickup clean linen and refill the tock of linen on each floor.
• Refill the stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor.
• Help room attendants with the heavy lifting when super cleaning / spring- cleaning of rooms.
• Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
• Remove soiled linen and trash from the poolside and other service area and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
• Assist room attendants with placing bed boards, rollways beds, extra bed etc.
• Report missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
• Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

This position also requires full availability to work on weekends and holidays!

Must be able to work 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Must be able to carry, push and pull (exerting up to 30-45 pounds of force) or otherwise move objects, must be able to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time, must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms.

Must be able to climb flights of stairs several times a day. Must be able to stoop and kneel, as job functions require.

Janitorial cleaning and hotel experience is preferred.
