Join a collaborative team of hospitality pros who are dedicated to curating and delivering hotel experiences as unique as the city they call home. The Washington Marriott Capitol Hill Hotel! We're looking for a Banquet Houseman who is a hard-working, friendly, charismatic person and wants to personalize the guest experience. The ideal candidate will maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms and more to make sure every event is a success and meets our guests' needs. This would be a Full-Time | PM Shift Position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Set up all banquets to the specifications of the guest.
  • Break down and clean up banquets at the conclusion of the event.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the venue in between events.
  • Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
  • Making sure that extra supplies such as napkins, utensils, and glassware are available during an event.
  • During the event, duties include assisting servers, and providing excellent service.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
  • Proven experience as a houseman in a hotel or banquet setting.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available for holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and be a positive team member.
  • Must be a multitasker and be detail oriented to ensure the guest satisfaction.
  • Physical skills include bending, standing, walking and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
