Job Summary:

The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Specialty Technologies Business in West Palm Beach, Florida is looking for a Cell Leader for 3rd shift. We've built an environment where every employee has value. In this position you will be responsible for driving the organization multi-functionally to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery; work with functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production requirements and assure the cells operate in a productive fashion consistent with changing business needs. Not only will you handle all operational aspects of the Cell with the Business Unit Manager but also drive overall production to meet goals, coordinating with material, customer support, quality, engineering day-to-day activities and operational decision making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment and attainment of cell goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance, and safety utilizing the Standard Production System (SPS).
  • You'll provide effective communication across the cells, provide leadership development, performance feedback to the shop floor employees, provide mentorship and direction to close gaps multi-functionally.
  • Obtain the necessary resources (equipment, manpower, etc.) effectively to meet long range and near-term goals.
  • Review staffing and training needed including performance, salary, and career appraisals for assigned personnel as well as hiring, retaining, and developing new key technical talent.
  • Maintain a constant understanding of the status of production work, to ensure resources are correctly allocated.
  • You'll lead productivity projects to reduce cost and cycle time.
  • You’ll will be responsible for supervising a group of hourly bargaining unit employees in a Manufacturing Operations environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or Associate Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Quality or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years' experience in production, operations, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working with SAP and MS Office.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience directing skilled bargaining unit employees.
  • Experience aerospace, manufacturing, or operations experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills with proven ability to motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  • Lean manufacturing/repair experience, CORE(ACE) or Six Sigma training
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and confident making decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data while processing multiple problems in parallel.
  • You will work in a dynamic environment requiring the ability to work multi-dimensional tasks at a time and handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with SAP and MS Office.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
