ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Reports to work on time as indicated on the work schedule. Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned. Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
• Exemplifies hospitality standards. Answers guests' questions about the restaurant. Handles requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority.
• Cooperates with management and co-workers to assists others with duties, if needed. Communicates suggestions for improvement in a positive fashion.
• Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
• Knows emergency procedures in the restaurants
• Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures as stated in the associate handbook.
• Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift. Immediately reports any unsafe condition or unsafe act, accident, or injury.
• All newly hired associates will be subject to E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification.

1. **Greeting and Seating Guests**

- Warmly welcome guests upon their arrival. Opening doors when possible.

- Manage the reservation system efficiently, ensuring accurate bookings and timely seating.

- Guide guests to their tables and presentmenus.

2. **Guest Service**

- Provide excellent service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude.

- Communicate & listen effectively with guests, ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.

- Walking guests through the restaurant.

3. **Coordination with Servers and Kitchen Staff**

- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure a smooth flow of service.

- Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and dietary restrictions to the server or directly to the COD.

4. **Maintaining Waiting Area**

- Keep the waiting area clean and organized.

- Manage waitlists efficiently during peak times.

5. **Handling Reservations**

- Manage reservations, confirm bookings, and update reservation status.

- Communicate effectively with guests to accommodate special requests or changes.

6. **Upselling and Promotions**

- Promote daily specials and upsell menu items to enhance the overall guest experience.

7. **Assisting with Takeout Orders**

- Manage takeout orders utilizing the proper form, ensuring accuracy and timely pick-up.

8. **Adhering to Health and Safety Standards**

- Follow hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational abilities.

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly.

- Guest-focused mindset.

- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus.
