**Host/Host**
**Duties:**
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or seating areas
- Provide menus and assist guests with any questions or concerns
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Communicate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events
- Keep a correct amount of menus printed
- Channel and respond event inqueries
- Keep the area orginized
**Skills:**
- Excellent guest services skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong customer service abilities, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations calmly
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and waitlist efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Understanding of food service procedures and etiquette
