Host/Hostess

The Dive Oyster Bar introduces a twist on traditional Southern comfort food to Irvine through our specialty kettle bar. We have entrees like Pan Roasts, Pastas, Jambalayas, and fresh Oysters as well as a full bar with our signature cocktails and fresh beer on tap.

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Ideal Applicants:
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their tables
- Provide menus and assist with any questions regarding menu items
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Assist with bussing tables during peak times
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle phone calls and take messages when necessary

Skills:
- Previous experience in a hotel or food service setting is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and Toast POS system is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle guest inquiries or concerns
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $16 per hour + Tips
