The Valley Hunt Club is a private club in Pasadena. Formed in 1888, we are a traditional club which prides itself on creating a culture of respect, integrity and passion for what we do.

The Valley Hunt Club is seeking for a Part-Time Host/Hostess. You will contribute to the success of the Valley Hunt Club by creating positive experiences for every member by providing expedient and attentive food and beverage service.

Reliable attendance is a must, positive and happy attitude

• Part-Time employees must be available to work at least 3 days a week and 3-to-5-hour shifts.
• Required: Must be at least 18 years old
• Required: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

These individual serves food and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.

Essential job functions:

• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Communicate diners details to the dining room staff.
• Follow all relevant health department regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Proven work experience as a host
• Hands-on experience with ordering information system (e.g. POS)
• Experience using Northstar
• Basic math skills
• Attentiveness and patience
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team spirit

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Food Safety Training, highly desirable

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

Qualifications:

• Requires ability to frequently lift/move up to 30lbs.
