Host / Hostess Job Scope
Perform duties to ensure guests have a great experience consistent with our brand by serving as the face of the business, by welcoming guests, and by supporting FOH activities as needed.

• Conform to our appearance and grooming standards.
• Greet guests, seat them, provide them menus, and describe any specials.
• Keep an eye out for issues and/or guests in need, ensuring such concerns are immediately addressed.
• Manage table assignments for reservations and walk-ins while balancing Server workloads, quoting accurate wait times, and accommodating guest requests.
• Handle the take-out order process, including but not limited to: (1) Answering the telephone, (2) Inputting orders into our Point-of-Sale system, (3) Greeting take-out guests upon their arrival, (4) Bringing take-out orders to guests, and (5) Processing payment of take-out orders.
• Be informed of menu options: (1) Know menu choices, options, and ingredients. (2) Help guests make choices. (3) Promote daily specials, appetizers, desserts, and premium beverages. (4) Maintain an awareness of potential ingredient shortages in the kitchen.
• Execute all side-job duties as assigned by management.
• Encourage guests to participate in guest surveys.
• Demonstrate teamwork by supporting coworkers without regard to job titles or rank.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience and Skills
• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Must speak and read English fluently
