Hospitality Shipping and Receiving Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping Services Specialist is responsible for executing the package distribution and shipping process in an accurate and timely manner. He/she fulfills the customer package process, which includes receiving, sorting, storing, distributing and shipping customer packages in order to meet/exceed our clients' and customers' expectations. The team is responsible for distributing up to 300 packages a day, ranging from 5 lb. packages to 400 lb. pallets. This position is instrumental in helping the 11th Hour team deliver superior customer service and establish itself as an extension of Hotel's hospitality team.

The shipping Services Specialist:

• Performs all aspects of customer package distribution and shipping, including receiving, sorting, storing, messaging and delivering customer packages, accurately and on time.
• Sort and distribute mail, including USPS, UPS. FedEx and overnight mail. (if applicable)
• Maintain an accurate record of all received packages.
• Maintain work flow to ensure Shipping and distribution goals are achieved.

The Shipping Services Specialist is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and building business relationships with clients by providing prompt and accurate service, including communicating and coordinating with others to resolve inquires.

This position is instrumental in helping the 11th Hour team deliver superior customer service and establish itself as an extension of the assigned hotel’s hospitality team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior customer service experience.
• High volume shipping experience, using FedEx and UPS preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

• Demonstrated ability to work well with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
• Outstanding communication and listening skills as it pertains to associates, management, clients and vendors. The ability to express thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented, with a strong sense of time management, the ability to plan and prioritize according to the changing needs of the business.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office suite.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings to meet Business Center and/or Shipping Department demands. Standard business hours are 7AM to 7PM Monday through Sunday.
• Capable of standing during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
• Capable of moving and lifting 50 pounds.
• Ability on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees.
• Ability on a consistent basis, to function in a fast paced environment, under substantial pressure.
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
