Shifts: 12p-6p, 1p-7p
Days: rotatingweekends
Location: 4347Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN, 37076
Compensation:$13/hour= $27,040 annually
Job Functions
Perform only those non-direct care procedures that you have been trained todo.
Ensure that the resident's room is ready for receiving the resident.
Greet residents and escort them to their room.
Introduce resident to other residents and personnel as appropriate.
Inventory and mark the resident's personal possessions as instructed.
Assist residents with packing their personal possessions
Transport residents to new rooms or to the receiving area.
Participate in and receive the nursing report as instructed
Answer resident calls promptly.
Report all accidents and incidents youobserve on the shift that they occur.
Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/ChargeNurse as soon as practical.
Assist residents to Activities
Check residents routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are beingmet.
Turn all medications found in the resident's room/possession over to theNurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
Assist with passing trays and snacks
Assist with passing ice
Perform after meal care i.e., remove trays, clean resident's hands, face,clothing, etc..
Education
Must possess, as a minimum, an 8th grade education.
Experience
None. Certification and on-the-job training provided.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandablemanner.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position..
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and theability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly,emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencysituations.
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to aminimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry suchweight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
