- Infants (6 weeks to 15 months) - $133 weekly, $27 daily
- Toddlers (15 months to 2 yrs) - $126 weekly, $26 daily
- 2 years to 3 years - $119 weekly, $25 daily
- 4 years to 5 years - $112 weekly, $23 daily
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff and facilitates evidenced-based research within a specialized area of nursing. The Registered Nurse collaborates with medical practitioners to incorporate nursing processes into the plan of care for a specialized group of patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating, suggesting, creating, and incorporating clinical programs to improve medical practices for patients. Registered Nurse is required to draft and establish curriculums to fulfill the education requirements for fellow medical personnel. The Registered Nurse provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient. The RN will assist the physicians and other team members, in the hospital and the ER.
Responsibilities
- Continuously do research and other scholarly work to stay on top of nursing news, best practices, and updated laws and regulations
- Participate in professional associations
- Advise fellow nursing staff
- Review educational materials
- Serve on peer review committees
- Evaluate educational curriculum and program outcomes
- Facilitate learning, develop lesson plans, and teach a variety of courses
- Mentoring and teaching current and future nurses
- Developing patient care plans and assisting patients with their clinical needs
- Educating the technical and patient care staff in using new technology
- Deliver nursing care as needed.
- Assess and document patient status.
- Carry out treatments and/or orders.
- Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.
- Administer medication, IV therapy and drips as ordered.
Requirements
Requirements
- A bachelor's in nursing required. (master's or doctoral degree in nursing is preferred.)
- A Certified Nurse Education certification.
- Valid Illinois nursing license is required
- Strong clinical background.
- Working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design curricula.
- Current working knowledge of clinical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- ACLS/BLS Certification
Physical Demands
- Must be able to speak and understand English language.
- Must be able to lift and turn patients of all ages and sizes.
- Must be able to lift OR patient from gurney to bed.
- Must be able to deal with families of critically ill patients.
- Must be able to communicate well with physicians.
- Must be able to work side by side with physicians at critical times such as code blue.
