JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
Hospital Laboratory Supervisor
HOSP LAB SUP (MT/MLT)
Full-Time
Hospital Laboratory Supervisor candidates will have the following job responsibilities:
- Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts
- Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance.
- Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
- Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiates corrective action plans, and re-monitors results
- Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports, outpatient volume reports, mileage and expense logs; participates in MOR.
- Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff
- Screen, interview and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.

Hospital Laboratory Supervisor candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- 5 yrs exp as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician generalist required
- Prior supervisory experience is beneficial but not required
- 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science or Medical Laboratory Technician is required;
- 4-Year/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology preferred
- FL State Supervisor License Required
- Licensure in 3 technical specialties Required
- ASCP or AMT required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Shifts: Days (40 hrs per wk) - Rotating Weekends
Sal range: $32.61/hr min - $48.92/hr max Based on years of experience
**Up To 15% bonus annual bonus, based on performance KPI's
