We are seeking a Hospice Volunteer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care in the comfort of the patients homes, a task both vital and rewarding. This pivotal role will service the Greensburg, PA and Surrounding areas. This is a non-paid volunteer position.
What You'll Do
- You will be an essential part of our team
- Providing companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assisting with activities such as reading, conversation, playing music, or simply being present to comfort the patient.
- Accompanying patients on walks or outings if appropriate and desired.
- Adhering to hospice policies, procedures, and guidelines.
About You
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are in good physical health
- You are able to pass a background check
- You have transportation
- requires a compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to provide comfort in challenging situations
