Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team. As a Hospice Aide, you will provide essential care and support to patients receiving hospice services. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, providing personal care, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medication as directed by the healthcare team - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature - Assist with tube feeding and meal preparation - Provide emotional support to patients and their families - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients - Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans - Provide specialized care for patients in memory care units Skills: - Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Ability to administer medication accurately and safely - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals - Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide emotional support to patients in hospice care If you are a caring individual who is passionate about providing comfort and support to those in need during their end-of-life journey, we encourage you to apply for the position of Hospice Aide. Pay: $25.22 - $26.44 per hour
