Homeless Services Advocate / Case Manager

Joseph’s House & Shelter, Inc., is an award winning Homeless Services organization that has been in operation since 1983. We are actively seeking an Advocate/Case Manager working with single adults at our Emergency Shelter to secure affordable housing. This person should be self-motivated, able to work within a team, have strong listening skills, ability to empathize in a non-judgmental manner, and complete required paperwork in a timely fashion.

Our programs utilize a Harm Reduction Principles and Housing First model in reaching our mission of "Providing non-judgmental services to end homelessness.” The right candidate would be able to navigate severe mental illness, active substance and alcohol use, understanding the principles of Harm Reduction.

Some key duties of these positions will be:

• Maintaining case notes
• Create housing plans
• Navigate the mental health and treatment systems and other local agencies
• Working within a team both within the agency and with outside providers
• Ability to take on-call responsibilities

This is a full time position with the possibility of occasional weekend/evening/holiday hours. This position requires rotating on-call responsibilities.
