Position Overview:
Sencura Homecare is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Homecare Agency Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive timely and efficient care by coordinating the schedules of homecare staff and managing client appointments. This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate caregiver schedule
- Work closely with the sales and care coordination teams to understand specific client needs, preferences, and any special requirements for care.
- Communicate effectively with the team and clients regarding scheduling changes, cancellations, and updates.
- Handle incoming calls and messages from clients and staff, providing prompt and courteous responses to inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process of new homecare staff by scheduling interviews and training sessions.
- Prepare and distribute daily and weekly schedules to homecare staff, ensuring they are informed of their assignments in advance.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify and address scheduling conflicts, gaps in coverage, or other operational challenges.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss scheduling trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and agency policies and procedures related to scheduling and client care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare administration or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in scheduling or coordination roles, ideally in a healthcare or homecare setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and professionalism in dealing with clients and staff.
- Proficient in the use of scheduling software and office applications (e.g., Google Suite).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of homecare services and regulations is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend work required to meet operational needs.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
