Responsibilities
Homeowners Claims Adjuster - Inside
Accidents happen. And when they do, our claims department is right there, investigating and evaluating claims: and then negotiating settlements that are fair to our customers and our company. As an Inside Homeowners Property Adjuster, you will conduct investigations over the phone of various Property Claims, from property damage to mold. Expect to be reviewing photographs, measurements, obtaining police reports and other statements, and ensuring that work completed is quality and meets standards. You will also determine coverage by applying provisions of policy contracts in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures. Use your people skills and business smarts to provide excellent customer service by communicating with policyholders, claimants and vendors to promptly resolve problems.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with:
- Property claims adjusting experience with Inside/desk Adjuster positions investigating CAT, fire, water, wind/tornado, flood, earthquake, mold and other homeowner claims (Required)
Strong estimate writing skills (Xactimate experience preferred)
- Ability to Interpret policy language and apply it appropriately
- Knowledge of insurance coverage, insurance law, DOI regulations, structural estimates, repair costs and homeowners concepts.
Ability to negotiate 1st party settlements &/or repair estimates with insured’s, Contractor’s, Public Adjusters and attorneys.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and sound judgment
- A strong sense of organization to keep you on top of the large volume of calls you'll be working
- Ability to meet state licensing requirements
- High School diploma (some college preferred)
The pay range for this position is $53,177 - $71,143+ annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
