Job Duties include:
- Perform all client/patient duties with a pleasant and helpful attitude and demeanor.
- Assist in resolving client equipment problems when appropriate.
- Answering telephones, interacting with the patients and receiving orders from referral sources also tracking new referrals.
- Complete all patient information. Maintenance and updating of insurance benefits coverage, ordering physician, diagnosis, and other pertinent information for current client/patients on an ongoing basis.
- Comply with company policies and assist with quality improvement data and quality program to meet Company and accreditation standards.
- Acquire working knowledge of HME products and services offered by the Company and applicable insurance coverage criteria for reimbursement.
- Monitor and record patient, physician and referral source communications. Communication with physicians, referral sources, and clients/patients regarding documentation.
- Process accounts and maintain appropriate records in a timely manner.
- Assist callers and walk-in customers with recommendations for appropriate supplies and equipment which can be utilized to meet their needs.
- Prepare all paperwork for billing process.
- Participate in continuing education programs.
- Weekly balance of cash drawer and making deposits.
- Responsible for pulling, processing, and filing all discharges.
- Filing all charts, periodic auditing of client/patient records to ensure the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and appropriateness of all required billing-related documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
