Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide therapy sessions to patients, utilizing various techniques and exercises
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Therapist
- Experience working in acute care settings, such as hospitals or ICUs, is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pediatric speech therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
